Wichita Family Birth Support was started out of a deep passion and calling to support families through one of the most meaningful and vulnerable experiences of their lives.
Our passion is in helping mothers turn their fear of the unknown into confidence & strenght as we give them the tools to prepare for the birth they desire.
At Wichita Family Birth Support, our doulas are more than skilled professionals—they are women of character, compassion, and deep dedication to the families they serve.
What began as my personal calling to support families through pregnancy and birth has grown into a trusted doula team: a small, intentionally selected group of doulas who share the same heart for gentle, family-centered care.

My own birthing journey of a cesarean birth followed by 3 natural VBAC's has given me a passion to help other mothers achieve their goals. I've been attending births for over 12 years now. I know how important it is to have the support, education, and help advocating for what you want. Not only that, I desire to help instill a sense of calm and confidence no matter the circumstances during labor. When your faith fails or fear comes in, I want to be there to remind you to surrender and breathe.
We have 5 children, 4 grandchildren, and I've most recently been a surrogate for a friend of mine - because, I guess I love birth that much! I enjoy being active in my church and my faith keeps me grounded in the midst of the crazy and unexpected. In my spare time without kids (which isn’t often enough) I love to hunt for bargains. More than anything though, I LOVE birth work, which feels much more like a calling than a job. I love to learn new things and feel like a sponge for all things birth related. Wichita Birth & Postpartum Doula, Hannah
Hannah became a doula for two main reasons: she loves everything about birth and she wants to help women know their options for pregnancy & birth. She will walk alongside you through pregnancy, helping you and your partner talk about goals and expectations. She will be a resource for questions or concerns you have in pregnancy, labor, and birth. Hannah's strengths are encouragement, holding space for you, and being in total support of you and your family.
When Hannah is not meeting with mamas or at births, she keeps herself busy with her three sons and one daughter and her husband. Her children are 10 years old and under and are such a joy to her. She also loves being outside, drinking iced coffee and crafting any chance she gets.

Chassidi believes every family deserves compassionate support, evidence-based education, and a calm presence during life's transitions. As a military spouse, she has helped create the kind of village many families long for by offering a place of belonging, encouragement, and steady support.
Whether she is offering encouragement during labor, practical postpartum care, or simply listening without judgment, her goal is to help parents feel seen, supported, and empowered. Chassidi enjoys serving alongside her husband at their church. She loves spending time with family and friends, creating art, being outdoors, and enjoying every season of Midwest life. Cynthia's desire is to encourage women to understand the choices they have in birth and to assist them in planning for the birth they want. It has been her great privilege to work in the birthing community for the last twenty-five years, assisting at friends' births and working as a birth assistant, certified doula, and also as a Certified Professional Midwife. She is humbled by the opportunities she has had to serve families at such monumental times in their lives and by the opportunities she has had to learn more of God's provisions and faithfulness.
Cynthia is a wife, mother, and grandmother. She has eight adult children and has had both hospital and home births with them. She has been married to her retired international airline pilot husband for forty years and enjoys traveling with him when her schedule allows. They have six married children and 10 grandchildren.

What she loves most about being a doula is walking alongside mothers as they journey into motherhood. She loves supporting, encouraging, and helping women trust the God-given intuition they already have. Her role is to help you understand your options, feel confident in your decisions, and support the birth that is right for your family.

Jennifer has been serving her community for over fifteen years in much the same way as a doula. She loves to help with babies and listen to and encourage moms. Jennifer is gentle and calm and willing to get into the daily mess with you. She can help with newborn care, light housekeeping, basic organization, and offer suggestions for a different way to thrive.
Jennifer has two nearly-adult children who she homeschooled. She loved every moment of being pregnant and caring for her babies, well, except for the postpartum pain, lack of sleep and the crying. She was blessed to have good support in those early days and is humbled to provide that support for other families now. Jennifer believes that the more support a mom and baby have in the early days allows for better mental and physical health for both the mom and the baby. Jennifer will bring a joyful calm into your life. She can provide answers and offer resources to thrive in the postpartum period. When she is not helping new moms, Jennifer enjoys walking with friends through Botanica, reading, taking photos and Bible study.
