Doula Services

Pick your doula package!

Our goal is to help you prepare for the birth YOU want!

This may include natural births, births using medication, VBAC's, and cesareans. We're available to come to your home, the hospital, or birth center to provide non-biased support.  A free meet & greet to get to know each other & explore your options is always available! We are also set up to take Tricare families!

What can you expect from your doula?

Initial Prenatal Visit

This is where we really dive in and get to know each other! We want to know you better and understand your goals and desires and how we can best support you and your support person.  We can guide you through what to expect at your place of delivery from the moment you arrive.

Want to know what to pack in your hospital bag or how to make a birth plan? We'll talk you through all of your options and how to go about advocating for yourself and your desires.  If you're overwhelmed by all the things - we'll help you boil it down to the most important things.  We'll talk about what to expect in labor and how to best work with your body and how to prepare both mentally and physically.  Don't worry - we'll send you the cliff notes version!

2nd Prenatal Visit
We're coming to your home for this fun and practical visit! We'll chat about how you're feeling about this birth coming up - as things start to feel really real.  We'll remind you of all the coping techniques and comfort measures that you'll want to use during labor.

As we show you different positions you can try, we'll also show your support person how to help you as well.  We'll get hands-on showing them how to do counter pressure and hip squeezes - and don't worry - we'll work in some massage too!  You will feel like you truly have some good techniques to keep you as comfortable as possible and to keep labor progressing.  And we'll throw in the all important Spinning Babies techniques as well!

Labor Support
Wondering if you're really in labor? What you should do now and when to go to the hospital (or your birth location)?  We will talk you through ALL of this and remind you of what you can do while laboring at home.  In fact, we're happy to join you and labor at home as long as we need to before heading to the hospital.

In addition, we'll be there as your personal expert to help you find your confidence and stamina during a very intense time.  We'll encourage your partner and help them to know how to best support you.  We'll be your guide to help provide suggestions for comfort techniques, position changes, and relaxation methods.  Labor stall?  No problem - we will be doing all the things to keep labor progressing.

You will not have to worry about remembering what to do - we'll be there to support you and walk you through all of the decision making processes so you can make informed and empowered decisions for your birth.

Postpartum Support
Right after birth, we'll help as needed as you enjoy the golden hour and bond with your baby and new family.  We can help with initial breastfeeding and recovery support and then check in with you regularly as you take your baby home (on your own)!  We'll come and see how you're doing, chat about and answer questions about newborn life and help connect you with resources for any concerns.  Don't worry - we're just a phone call away!

"Bethany was gentle, knowledgeable, and supportive to my family and myself. She did an awesome job of reading my body language and knew what I needed before I even knew. My birth would not have been as comfortable and manageable without her. She captured some wonderful moments of my birth with our camera. I am forever grateful to her for providing such wonderful support!"   -J.A
